How Do I Access Templates?
You must be a subscriber to The Brand Source to access templates. If you have not already signed up, you can do so here.
Once you are logged in, you can browse Brand or Content templates. As you are browsing templates, you have the option to Review or Customize.
When you select REVIEW…
You will be taken to a detailed page with more information about the template, pre-filled caption, and template customization options
When you select CUSTOMIZE…
You will be immediately directed to Canva to make any edits to the design and personalize as you see fit.
How do I set up my Canva account?
The first time you click Customize Design, you will be prompted to either sign into your existing Canva account or create a new one. Follow the instructions provided on the screen.

Do you provide captions for social posts?
Each social post comes with a caption that you can copy and customize as you see fit.
Select REVIEW to view the provided social caption. Then you can copy the caption and paste it directly into Instagram.
How do I post on my social media?
Through Canva you have two options to post on social media:
- Share directly to Instagram through Canva
- Download & post
- Using the Canva mobile app, click the Export in the menu, and select Download to save the image to your photos. See more detailed instructions here.
- Open the Instagram app and follow the steps to share a new post or story, using the image you downloaded from Canva. See detailed instructions on a post here and a story here
What is the brand section of the website and how can I use it?
The BRAND section of the website includes templates that you can use to promote yourself and your business. Several different designs are available for you to express your individuality and use expertly designed promotional materials.
We will periodically update these designs and templates but you can access them at any time and use them for a variety of purposes.
How often is content updated?
The CONTENT section includes monthly social and email content and will be updated every month so you have access to refreshed and relevant information. We will notify you when we have new monthly content available.
The BRAND section will only be periodically updated. We will notify you when we have new content in the Brand section of the website.
How do I customize the designs?
1. Add template to your Canva account
- Select Customize and you will be directed to Canva. Once you have logged in, you will see a confirmation screen showing that The Brand Source is sharing a template with you. Select the button Use template for new design (see example below). From there the template will be added to your personal Canva account.
2. Use Canva’s editing capabilities to change out images/text/design features as you see fit. Check out this beginner’s guide to Cavnva here to learn how to use the tool.

What if someone else in my market also uses your service?
While others might use the same service, the benefit of our platform is the ability to customize the content to fit your brand. To make sure your personality shines, we recommend you make your own adjustments to the content so that you are adding a twist that will make the marketing pieces you share uniquely your own.
Are you able to post on social media for me?
At this time we do not offer services to post on social media on your behalf.

- Do I need a Canva account to use the templates?

- Canva has an amazing help center with in-depth tutorials on how to edit and customize designs on their platform. See link here.
- How do I lock and unlock elements on Canva?
- To maintain design consistency, there might be certain elements that are “locked” in the design templates. To unlock and lock those design elements, you can find the instructions here.
- I need help downloading my designs from Canva, what do I do?

- Do I need a Mailchimp account to use the templates?
- Yes. You need to have a Mailchimp account in order to to use and edit the email designs. You can sign up for a free account or pay for a premium account. For more detailed instructions, you can click here.

ACCOUNT/BILLING TROUBLESHOOTING
- Where can I find a receipt for my subscription?
- Click your name on the top right of your screen to access your account details.
- Select PAYMENTS to review any confirmed payments as well as an Invoice PDF you can download.
- How do I update my payment information?
- Click your name on the top right of your screen to access your account details.
- Select SUBSCRIPTIONS to see your account details.
- Click UPDATE to change your credit card information
- How can I cancel my subscription?
- Click your name on the top right of your screen to access your account details.
- Select SUBSCRIPTIONS to see your account details.
- Click CANCEL to cancel your current subscription.
